MY SKINCARE ROUTINE FOR ACNE SKIN

Skincare routine these days has become a lengthy multi-step process, which may appear as weird, OA and exhaustive to others. This all started when Charlotte Cho of SOKOGLAM published The Little Book of Skin Care! I believe the book mentioned about the 10 KOREAN SKIN CARE ROUTINE for a “healthy, glowing skin,” which has become a trend not only in Korea but throughout the world.
Since I have been breaking out these days due to lack of sleep, poor eating habits and stress, I joined the bandwagon to aim for a clear, blemish-free face.

Here’s my skincare routine:

To 2016,

grateful-heart1

I’ve reached the deepest part of the sea

Held to the point, I almost stumble and fall

But in my weakest, I became the strongest

For I have You who lifted me up and guided me in ways, I couldn’t even imagine

I’ve cried a river every time I fall down

Questioned all my philosophies in life

But I was able to do things that I dream

For I have You who is enough to strengthen me

A LETTER FOR THE ANXIOUS ONE

Three days ago, another academic year has started.

It is a moment of learning and meeting new people, but it was a tough time for me as I will need to face my fear yet again. To everyone who struggles, cry it all out to the Lord. Talk to him and share every pain and fear in your heart. Pray and let go.

COLOURPOP STAYCATION UNBOXING & SWATCHES

Next to Mac lipsticks, Colourpop has been my get go since it is affordable for its amazing quality. I have tried popular lip gloss style lipstick from Anastasia Beverly Hills, Kat Von D., Ciate London, even Colourpop Ultra Matte but I never really had a chance to make time applying one on my lips since I’m not a morning person, hence I’m always rushing during mornings.

One thing I like about Colourpop is that they give options to their consumers about which type of matte lip products “we” could use- they have a stick and tube lippies. Having said that, lippie stix and lipsticks have been my choice because it is not as time-consuming and much easier to apply compared to other lip products/applicator.

Just recently, Colourpop released a summer collection of their best matte lippie stix, all in one gorgeous box! I’m lucky enough to purchase one during their last re-stock for this season. 🙂

LETTER TO MY YOUNGER SELF

8ia6b4ggt

Hi,

I see you’re still loud and noisy and I now how much you want to change it, but don’t and I’m glad you didn’t. Have fun and enjoy your life, those are few of the most wonderful things you will take with you as you grow older. Smile and laugh like you always do because the memories you make will be a part of you to look back and cherish.

A road trip.

For my last road trip before another academic semester starts, my boyfriend and I along with his siblings and friends went on a road trip to Alberta.

Alberta – is a province close to where I am from (Saskatchewan). Unlike my place, according to Wikipedia, “its landscape encompasses mountains, prairies, desert badlands and vast coniferous forests. It has more than 600 lakes and rich mineral deposits”. So far, given that both are prairies, I find Alberta’s cities and roads a lot like Regina/Saskatoon. The only difference is that Alberta is more industrialized and established when it comes to their economy as evidenced by different landscapes and trademarks present in the province due to their rich mineral deposits and worth visiting tourist spots.

PARTING TIME

I hate goodbyes, yet I divulge myself to the idea that everyone’s going to leave, and that’s what I fear the most. For some reason I couldn’t fathom, I realized we came this far. It’s inevitable and it happened in a snap of time.

The Big Apple Journal

“Now you’re in New York
These streets will make you feel brand new
Big lights will inspire you”

Those are words that I used to hear from an Alicia Keys song that was popular when I was in grade school. A song so familiar, that I could sing when played on the radio. I never really bother to read the lyrics or ponder about its meaning. Like any other Korean song, I just liked its tune that I memorized the song without really knowing it.

It was only a song… until I went to New York.
